Hey, i've been working on Java for a few months now but some of the basic stuff still confuses me since i work in patches. I do a lot in a week and then nothing for 3 and it slips my mind. I've been working on Android apps and that went pretty well, mostly just doing it to teach myself. Now i'm working on a Simple Hill Climbing algorithm to try and solve the travelling salesman problem but frankly, i've been away from Java for a bit and im forgetting things. Anyway i'll start a new thread about that in the right place when i need too.
I thought joining this forum would help me work or at least see Java code almost every day so i basically get used to it. At the moment its more of a side project that i don't pay attention too so im hoping to change that by completing this TSP problem and many more!
Re: Hi there
Welcome to the Java Programming Forums.
In my early days of learning Java, I found that forums really helped me. Being exposed to code every day and getting involved with other peoples problems really helps you grasp an understanding of the language. You can see how solutions are devised and this will carry over into your own programming. Any spare time you do have, get involved in the community here and it will really help with your desire to learn Java.
I hope you like the site.
