Want to write good programs

Hi,

I was in QA but since had a urge to write programs i changed my career to programming. I have been struggling hard to write programs. I am not good at mathematics. Started Java classes also, going thru books. I understand when they teach in class and also while i go thru sites what each concept means. But i am not getting the confidence. I want to write good programs and also when i see lot of people answering queries in forums i am just thinking when i will also do like that.

Can you please give me some suggstions ? (1) How to get the logics ? (2) How cani get confident in writing programs? (3) Only if you are thorough in Mathematics you can get the logics and write programs?

Or writing small small programs will make us to think more good logics?? Please whether writing SCJP would make a novice to an advanced level programmer in Core Java?

First of all, welcome :)

Let me first answer your questions:
1. The logic depends on your program. Something like: a car is a vehicle, a car has a steer etc.. this is just brainstorming.
2. The confident comes when knowledge comes, and knowledge comes with experience :) so keep practicing!
3. You do not need to be a genius in math because I am not either and I manage :) It's just comes in handy sometimes when you need to make a formula to calculate something, but even then you don't need to be a genius.

If you just keep in mind to work logical, you won't have allot of problems. But ofcourse, when you just cant get it, we're always here to help :)
