Hi guys, I'm very new to this forum, but not to java. I've been programming for about 2 years now and I specialise in Game development (mostly 2D). I have a lot of experience with graphics libraries and yet I always find myself coming back to Slick2D. Even though slick has a reputation for being clumsy and outdated I have development my own library attachments and can make a decent looking game. I really hope to meet some people on here that would be enthusiastic about a group project. Message me about anything and everything, especially if anyone wants to work together on something (like a game :D)
Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the forum! Please read this topic to learn how to post code in code or highlight tags and other useful info for new members.
Many pass through here new to programming and Java who want to START with game programming. While I'm not a fan of that approach to learning programming or a language, doing it as a group with someone who knows what they're doing and able to lead a group to a successful conclusion might have benefits for all involved. You might 'advertise' your desires in the cafe to see if anyone would like to join a group project with a focus on gaming.
