hello everybody. I am new to java.
I am a free lance Visual Basic 6 programmer.
I am not going after .net as there also I have to change my entire design with only 50% of my code going in .net.
I want to begin with java SE which is free.
My clients are normally small businesses with 1 to 5 PCs in a LAN.
Normally my clients will not pay for Licences for java .
Can I go smoothly with JAVA SE or be forced to buy EE licence.
Seniors please guide.

Welcome to the forums pbastodkar.
Java SE and Java EE serve two different purposes. I suppose it depends on what you wish to achieve.
