YAY for beginners

Hey everyone. It is good to have found a site that I can find help with my java issues. I am self-taught but I learn really fast.
IS it easier to learn in a class?

That really depends on the person, so we really can't answer that. Do you normally learn better in a classroom environment? We can't really tell you what's best for you.

I have learned the basics of programming Java at university, and helped me much to get used with classes, extending classes, using methods and working with files. I liked it much and continued myself to learn ATW, Swing and will continue(hoping I will become a programmer). However, it was much easier to understand these after learning the basics at school where a teacher could always answer my question and helped me understand difficult things.
