Cross platform Java Programming
Am a complete beginner in Java
Programming. I want to create an application in
Java with the following features:
I want the application to fetch the
main section (a table) of a web page,
I want the .apk of the application to
alert(pop up) users every time it
fetches new content from the web
page, I want the application to run on
Java phones, android, blackberry
and on window I want the
application to display 2 or 3
interface before the main content
can be view when launched and
also, I want to specify a time (maybe
every 24 hours) that the app should
check for update.
I hope someone will guide me with the on instructions and steps
on how to go about this. Thanks in

If you work real hard, follow a reasonable study guide that teaches you Java fundamentals in the proper order, have reasonable (no, changed to 'above average') aptitude for programming, and are committed to devote the time needed to succeed, you should be able to do what you've described in 12 to 18 months. Maybe a little longer for the mobile applications.
