Seriously, the way I learned was making random fun stuff. I didn't master Java until I decided to make a program that could be put on a computer system to run a bank. I started simple, making it so that it reset each time you ran, and could deposit and withdraw from ONE account. And I went from there. I made more accounts, had it save stuff to files, made loaning systems and credit card stuff. Gosh, if I still had the program, it would do all my banking for me!
