hello, help please
hello people,
i am a beginner in java and i know very little of coding and i am still learning.
i have this problem with a java applet. its at keyja.com. its a chat site and it works through pc by a java applet. the problem is i get banned there often.
my ip changes, its dynamic ip. there is no way the server can ban me by my ip. so i get a new ip whenever i switch off and switch on my modem. but still i will be banned. so it must be saved somewhere in my computer itself. please help me find the log files(or whatever it is called) and get unbanned.
i have done this so far about this....i deleted all the files in the prefetch folder and also deleted some java app files..changed setting in java....nothing works. i need your help please.

Re: hello, help please
I think that your best bet here is to contact the moderators of that site pure and simple.
Your question doesn't have much to do with learning how to program in the Java language, and so I don't think that it is appropriate for this forum, but we'll have to wait for the moderators to decide on this.

Re: hello, help please
Pretend there is a magical file on your pc 'reminding' them who you are.
Say someone told you where it was and how to remove it.
That does not fix the problem. That is a patch to temporarily cover the symptoms of the problem. That is more like 'doctoring' the problem.
I would suggest stop doing what ever you are doing to get banned.
There are other ways to identify you as a previously banned user than a file local to you, and repeat offenders often make a higher-priority list that is well maintained.

Re: hello, help please
no, moderators of that site do not know the coding and stuff.
and i am pretty sure the file is within the computer. i know the site does not store this information and also my ip changes, so they cant track me like that.

Re: hello, help please
If you were banned, there was probably a reason. This means you did something against their rules, and thus must suffer the consequences. If you feel it was in error, then contact those that run the site.
This has nothing to do with java, nor with introducing yourself. Thread moved from Members Introductions.

Re: hello, help please
Hello,
I am Joel, the author of the application keyja, and the administrator of the server.
Let me remind you the rules:
http://keyja.com/help/moderation_rules.html
But i'm sure you already know about that, and you don't care! <:-P
So you're trying to hack my system ? Well I'm glad I obfuscated everything using Proguard.
If you ever find out how to do it, I'll change it within 48 hours, so don't even bother.
Good luck anyway, and may the force be with you young padawan. :-bd
