For those who don't know, Eclipse has just released their annual major update, project Indigo.

Just downloaded it and took a look over some of the new features, and I am so happy that there's finally a built-in Swing GUI editor!
I also noticed an SWT GUI editor, though I'm not sure if that's new or not.
What do you guys think of the new Eclipse Indigo?
I've just downloaded it here at work. Looks good so far! I'm very happy about the built in Swing GUI editor too..

i am new to java programming still would it be good for me to try this or is the eclipse helios better for me since i am new?
Eclipse Indigo is the upgrade from Eclipse Helios. Pretty much everything you can do with Eclipse Helios you can do with Eclipse Indigo. Plus, Eclipse Indigo is the first Eclipse IDE to feature a built-in (well, packaged-in) GUI designer, not to mention other changes. So yes, I would recommend getting Eclipse Indigo instead of Eclipse Helios.
