I build automation programs for a commerical airline, so I might be some help. I havent done any substancial game or 3D designing however.

As I said, I'm no java programmer so I'm not really the guy to talk too when it comes to the sim engine.

I have however been around some time in the online combat flight sim genre.
I've witnessed the decline of it over the last 10 years...I've taken part in another community driven sim and learned from the mistakes made there.

This enterprise won't fail...it has too much that's right about it to fail.
