so is it just me?
i seem to find that the moderators here are very grouchy... or is it just me?
not that i have a problem with there policy. i just do not seem to be finding them helpful i have read numerous threads today with
moderators just saying.... ask Google we ain't going to do the work for you. or something along them lines... I thought the point in a forum is for people to share ideas and talk to one another about the problems the are facing with there task, an the job of a moderator is to make sure there is not arguments or little kids annoying people or other wise trolling threads. since when was a moderators job to go on a thread an tell people who came to find answers to go else where and learn them self?
but I do understand that knowledge found is greater than knowledge given (or something like that)
thanks for reading.. let me know you opinions.

Re: so is it just me?
I volunteer here to help people learn programming. I expect them to do the simple things like asking google before coming here. Also I would like them to post everything they have tried and done to solve their problem. The more effort they show the more willing I am to help them. Many OPs just post their assignment and appear to be waiting for someone to write their code.
Part of learning how to program is knowing how to read the API doc. Lots of OPs appear too lazy to bother and want someone to tell them what method and what parameters for the method.
I tend to give short answers at first to see it the OP is going to come back. Giving a talk in an empty room seems like a waste of time so I wait and see if anyone is coming back before investing too much time.
